I have had the first one to this series for awhile now so when I saw this on netgalley I had to request it and I'm glad I did as it has made me want to read the first one a lot sooner than what I was thinking.
I'm in two minds about this cover as I love the trees in the background making it look picturesque and in keeping with the other books but I don't like the colours as it makes Ethan look weird.
When I first started the book I wasn't sure I was going to like it but the further I went into the story the more I started to like it. With me not reading the first book I'm not sure about who Ethan or Nara are but it seems paranormal which I can't wait to delve into when reading he rest of the series. Also there isn't really any romance but I have a feeling that could change in the upcoming books. There is a lot of things that have been mentioned but haven't been talked about in much detail so again I hope that changes in the next book. I found this was a really sad book especially one scene that I just couldn't read as it was too sad so I skipped that particular part. The ending really grabbed me and has made me eager to see what happens next.
I wasn't too sure about Ethan to start with but by the end there was something about him than warmed me to him. There wasn't much details about the other characters but I'm sure that will change by the end of the next book.
Overall a good start to what I'm hoping will be a brilliant series. I can't wait to find out more about what is happening with Ethan and Nara.
