Waiting on Wednesday - A World Without You by Beth Revis

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Here's this week's book that I can't wait for...

A World Without You by Beth Revis
Expected Publication: 19th July

Synopsis:Seventeen-year-old Bo has always had delusions that he can travel through time. When he was ten, Bo claimed to have witnessed the Titanic hit an iceberg, and at fifteen, he found himself on a Civil War battlefield, horrified by the bodies surrounding him. So when his concerned parents send him to a school for troubled youth, Bo assumes he knows the truth: that he’s actually attending Berkshire Academy, a school for kids who, like Bo, have "superpowers."
At Berkshire, Bo falls in love with Sofia, a quiet girl with a tragic past and the superpower of invisibility. Sofia helps Bo open up in a way he never has before. In turn, Bo provides comfort to Sofia, who lost her mother and two sisters at a very young age.
But even the strength of their love isn’t enough to help Sofia escape her deep depression. After she commits suicide, Bo is convinced that she's not actually dead. He believes that she's stuck somewhere in time — that he somehow left her in the past, and now it's his job to save her.

I've only read one book by Beth Revis don't ask why I haven't read anymore because I have no idea why I haven't finished Across the Universe series as I loved the first one. This sounds like it could be an epic read and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

What are you waiting on?

Changing Covers #5

Hi everyone welcome to my new weekly feature which all about covers that change either in the middle of the series or even when the series had finished. (The covers will mainly be UK changes but also from the USA.) I decided to do this feature as there has been so many cover changes it's hard to keep up.
I am not sure if anyone has done this particular feature so feel free to let me know so I can start linking it up to them. It is similar to other features that are out there but I'm hoping that this is different enough.

Across the Universe by Beth Revis

First Published                New UK                     Latest Edition

Here in the UK we had the same cover that was used for the first published which I kind of liked especially the colours it made it look like it was out in the universe which was very fitting. Then when the next book was released it was the same as the New UK cover which I didn't mind so much as only the first one was released so it made it a lot easier to get the one new cover than a whole new series. I do like the New UK covers but I think I may prefer the First Published cover. Then there was another book cover change and this time I don't like it at all the other two a far better than the Latest Edition. It really does annoy me when the publishers change the covers but when they keep changing them it's even more annoying can't they just stick to the original it would be a lot easier for us readers and a lot cheaper!

These are my thoughts on this cover that keeps on changing. What are your thoughts do you agree with me? or do you disagree? Let me know in the comments below.

Yet someone is waiting for her.
He wants to protect her -
and more if she'll let him

But who can she trust amidst the secrets and lies?
A killer is out there - and Amy has nowhere to hide...

From the very moment that I started this book I was hooked. Things was always happening even if you didn't actually know what was going on. I was also surprised in some places especially the end as I really didn't see that happening, which I love books that can keep you guessing.

I haven't read many books that are sci-fi but I really enjoyed it. I did get a bit confused with some of the language but you kind of get the idea of what they are saying when you read the whole sentence.

Amy's character I liked as she had to go through a lot of emotions and a lot of things happened to her that could have broken a character but it just made her all the more stronger. I felt that I really went through the same emotions she went through throughout the book at the same time as she went through them.

I also liked Elder's character although there was times I wanted to smack him upside the head and thinking why would he do something like that. When it was explained why he did it I felt sorry for him as it must be a lonely place for him to live.

The Elder and Amy's friendship was really sweet and I can't wait to see if anything develops between them at this point it just seems like they are bonding through the loneliness of living on the ship with know one that they can really talk to but each other.

Overall I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait to see what is going to be thrown there way next one things for sure it looks set to be a bumpy ride!

It's Monday What Are You Reading? #7

It's Monday What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey in which we plan our reading week!

                                               Currently Reading

Darker Still by Leanna Renee Hieber
Sometimes I am hooked with this book but then there are times when I am just plain bored and can't wait to finish it. I am sure it will get better the further into the book I go into once things get explained (hopefully).

Across The Universe by Beth Revis
I haven't read much of this book yet as I am only on page 21 but I am so hooked I just can't wait to read more of this book. I just hope it continues to stay this good or get even better!

Reading Next

The Merchant's Daughter by Melanie Dickerson
I found this on netgalley and liked what it was about so I am hoping that I will like the actual book as well.

Entice by Carrie Jones
This series hasn't been my most favourite but I do enjoy reading them as they can be a quick read and I want to know what is going to happen to the character's next.
