I was given a review copy via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not a fan of this cover and the reason why is going to sound really shallow as it's all because of the hair I really don't like it just doesn't feel like its Jordan because of this. Everything else about the cover I don't mind as it's in keeping with the book.

From the very second I started this book I loved it and I didn't stop loving it even if there was a few things that annoyed me at times I was able to forgive everything as I was able to understand where they where both coming from. I loved that it was written in alternating points of views as I always like to know what all the main characters are thinking plus I don't think that I would've been able to forgive everything that got me angry if it was only from one of their points of views. I'm also glad that there were flashback of what happened between Jessie and Jordan as it made it all the more understandable. The whole romance of this book was realistic in the way that not all was forgiven straight away which makes a change from other books that I have read. It wasn't a completely miserable book though as there was a lot of funny moments as well as sweet moments. I'm so glad that this series is with different main characters in each of the books because now Jessie and Jordan's story wasn't dragged out it felt complete I just hope we continue to see more of them during this series.

I loved every character in this book and some of those secondary characters are going to get their own book so I'm glad that even though Jessie and Jordan's story is over we won't miss those great characters that we where introduced to. I liked Jessie and I felt so sorry for her but there was times when I wanted to shake her but I could understand why she was so reluctant. She was such a strong character even when things didn't go her own way she was still able to walk around with her head held high. Jordan I adored which I was surprised about as I didn't think I was going to love him as much as what I did do but he was written in a way that I was drawn to him.

Overall this was a great start to the Hometown Players series and I can't wait to continue on with this series I just hope they will be as good as the first one.

I've had this sitting on my kindle for a little while now so I'm glad I was finally able to read it although it wasn't as good as what I was expecting but it was enjoyable enough.

I love this cover it was one of the reasons why I wanted to read the book (although for a change it wasn't the main reason why I wanted to read it). I love the cover even more after reading the book as it looks like it could be a part of a scene in the book which I always love when covers do that as it helps me to visualise the actual story.

When I first started this book I was excited to start it as when I knew it was based on the Taylor Swift song Love Story I knew I wanted to read it but when I started it I didn't feel enthralled like what I thought I would have. This was a insta-love book but I felt like I didn't mind that as I understood where it came from which I loved the thought of a past life romance. I felt like there wasn't enough happening in this book as it was just the will they won't they all the way through the book which did get tiring at times. For most of the book it was just an ok read but once I got closer to the end it really drew me in and I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

There was times when I liked most of the characters but everyone of them annoyed me at times whilst some of the characters I didn't like one bit. Lizzie started of like as a likable character, she was actually my favourite character in this book as she seemed like a nice person, however there was times when she really annoyed me. For most of the book I didn't really warm to Drew as he just didn't seem nice and I didn't see the attraction especially the way he treated Lizzie. It wasn't until the end when I started to like him as I understood why he was the way he was. Chelsea and Jeremy were my least favourite characters especially Chelsea as there was a glimmer of a dark side to her.

Overall this was an ok read that I started to really like towards the end and now I am looking forward to see where the story goes next.

And the book of the month is...

It was an easy pick for best book of this month as there was only one that got 5/5 which was this one. I loved every moment of this book and I can't wait to read more from this series.

I do love the colourfulness of this cover but the main thing that I like about this cover is that the title takes centre stage as it tells us everything we need to know about the story. With the title being a long one if there was anything else on this book I think it would have looked over crowded.

I couldn't remember much about the premises of this story to begin with which I think was the reason why I kept wanting to put it off but when I read the book I didn't know why I kept putting it off as I really enjoyed it. I found it a really quick read as before I knew it, it was nearly finished, even though it took me a few days to actually finish it I still felt like was quick as I was enjoying it. Even though this has a depressing subject matter I still found it quite a light hearted read which I found myself laughing out loud. What I liked about this book is that even with it a book about the paranormal it still felt like it was something that is supposed to happen as it was written in a believable way. It was good that we got to know more about who Rosie was before she died as well as in the present. There was parts of the story that disappoint me especially when we found out how she died but I do feel like that, that did match up to the humour of the rest of the story so in the end I was able to forgive this more than what I thought I would have. I did love the romance side of the story but I do wish there was a bit more of it as I felt it was rushed towards the end. I loved the ending as there was a point halfway through when I wanted to give this a three star rating but the ending won me over even if it did leave me in floods of tears! I also loved the little epilogue giving us a glimpse of what happened to the other characters in the future even if some of it set me off again.

For me it was some of the characters that made me want to give it a three star rating as Rosie did annoy me at times as she was a hypocrite but there was times when I liked her especially when her humour shone through. I loved Charlie as he was such a sweetheart and he also broke my heart a little bit towards the end. I would have liked to haave seen more from Jenny and Chris as they where great when they where in the story. I also loved Rosie's Mum and again I would have liked to have seen more from her. I couldn't stand Jack and even though I've been told many times that two wrongs don't make a right I still feel like he got everything he deserved.

Kate Winter is a journalist, novelist and storyteller from the North West of Ireland who was lucky enough to grow up with no TV (though she didn't consider it a lucky break at the time) and lots of books. After graduating from University of Ulster with first class honours and the Ulster Television Award for her BA in Media Studies, Kate promptly forged a glittering career for herself in waitressing. Then one day, beside a swimming pool in Australia, Kate decided it was time to write a book. The Happy Ever Afterlife of Rosie Potter (RIP) is Kate's debut novel.
