Synopsis:
Her wicked revenge, or his wicked heart...
Hazel McCallister loves her life. Perfect grades. Perfect best friend. Perfect boyfriend. Until her perfect boyfriend cheats on her with her perfect best friend. Now Hazel’s in free fall—until her best friend’s brother, Felix, gives her the perfect idea. Reclaim her power by taking revenge on her cheating ex.
Felix James loves his life. Casual relationships. Loads of surfing. He’s as drama-free as they come. But he can’t stand by when his sister steals her best friend’s boyfriend, and the dude insists it was Hazel’s fault. So Felix vows to help turn Hazel into a girl her ex can’t resist—so then she can break his heart.
With an alliance in place, Hazel’s revenge is all but assured. But with each piece of payback, she feels a stronger attraction to Felix, even though revenge will turn her into a girl Felix could never be with. And soon Hazel has to make an impossible choice: revenge...or Felix, the boy who’s stolen her heart.
WARNING! This book contains betrayal, revenge, and that most tempting vice of all, the bad boy you know you can't have.

I received a review copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I think that this is a cute cover although a bit cheesy but I don't mind that for this particular cover as it's in keeping with the story. I wouldn't say that the models are a perfect match for the main characters although the guy reminds me a little bit of Felix.

Not Okay, Cupid was an okay book but some of the things that happened just didn't sit right with me. I felt like the book never really took off, I think it needed to be a bit longer so parts of the story wasn't rushed. The romance side of the story wasn't completely believable as I didn't see them as a couple as well as it coming out of the blue. There was some moments that I felt there was some spark but in the end there just wasn't enough chemistry. The whole reason for the revenge was awful I can't believe someone who love and trust would do something like that and then not to take responsibility for what she had done was even worse. I didn't get that people was still unaware of what took place especially when it was in front of a full canteen. I thought the ending was really cute but I do wish it went into the future to see how things are going.

The two main characters where the most likeable characters in this book with the rest annoying the hell out of me well apart from Hazel's mum she came across well. Hazel I really felt for with everything that had happened to her and then for her still show strength was amazing. There was moments that Hazel did annoy me though. Felix I liked and even though he was portrayed as a 'bad boy' I felt like he was more of the good guy. As for Hazel's best friend she just didn't come across well at all and I don't understand why they where friends in the first place. Then Hazel's ex-boyfriend came across just as bad as the best friend.

Overall, there was some really cute moments but for the most part I felt that it just didn't go anywhere for me to really get into it.

Book of the Month - January 2016

I can't believe January is over already!
Seeing as I haven't been working I've had a little bit better reading this month but it's still down to what I used to do.

Here's what I read in January 2016:

  • Bad Romeo (Starcrossed, #1) by Leisa Rayven - 3.5/5
  • The Deal (Off-Campus, #1) by Elle Kennedy - 5/5
  • Runaway Groom (The Logan Series, #1) by Sally Clements - 3/5
  • Not Okay, Cupid by Heidi R. Kling - 3/5
  • Oblivion (Lux, #1.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout - 4/5
  • VIP (Rock & Release, #1) by Riley Edgewood - 1.5/5

And the winner is...

This was by far my favourite book of the month! I enjoyed it so much and I can't wait to read more from this series.
