1 Year Old Blog!

 

Hey everyone,

As you may have realized from all the giveaways going on my blog has turned one today (19th September) which I for one can't believe how quickly that time has gone.

I want to thank my wonderful (344) Followers I love you all you have made my year by all of you following or even commenting. It's great to hear what everyone has to say about our shared love of books.

It was a lot harder to chose my favourite as on different days it could have easily have been another book but this is the one I love today.

200 Hundred Followers!!

I can't believe it but I have finally gone over the 200 followers mark I wasn't sure that it was ever going to happen and I am so happy and greatful to all of my wonderful followers.

Blog Updates

Hey everyone Kate here, just a little note to let you know I have made a few little updates to my blog hope you like them.

As you can see I have changed the background as I found that the photo's that had been using was a little distracting so I went with something simple with nothing too much going on in the background (I seem to be on a blue kick this time round)

I have added another way for you to follow me by using the Linky Follower I thought this would be a good idea for those of you who don't want to use the Blogger follower or the email subscription.

I have also updated my Facebook page so that it co-insides with my blog so if you want to take a look just click on the Facebook owl at the side.

I have also added a few blogs that I visit regularly.

Not too many changes as you can see but if anyone feel I could improve on anything else to make this a better blog (as I'm not getting many comments) please let me know either by posting on here or using my new email which is in the on the side with the profile information.

Taylor Swift - Safe and Sound Official Music Video

Here it is the official video for Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift which is for The Hunger Games. I think it's a beautiful song and I can just picture where it would be in the book so I'm hoping it will be in the film. Hope everyone likes it as much as me :)

Cover Reveal

City of Lost Souls by Cassanda Clare Cover Reveal

I know am a bit behind but I thought I would still share it with my fellow bloggers as it makes me so excited for the release of City Lost Souls.

I'm not sure what I think about this book because one minute I love it and then the next minute I don't.

I really like the way Clary's hair and dress is the only bright colour it makes it stand out. I like the way that this book goes with the last book but a bit different from the first three as it's a new story.

I do think it looks a bit too cheesy though which I don't think the others do.

Is it just me or does Jace look a bit like Alex Pettyfer??

Fracture by Megan Miranda - book trailer

I really want to read this book I tried to get it on Netgalley a couple of times but I kept getting turned down.
Fracture by Megan Miranda is going to be published on 5th January and I for one can't wait to get myself a copy!

The Hunger Games Official Trailer 2012 HD

Here is a look at the official trailer for The Hunger Games. By looking at the trailer it looks like it is going to be just as good as the book as I got shivers from it just like I did with the book. Can't wait!!

Alton Towers - Scarefest 2011 Promotional Video

While at Alton Towers I went in two mazes one called Carnival of Screams. This one was where clowns jumped out at you and talking in your ear especially if they saw you was scared (which I was), there was other creepy things going on like a 'walls' that were close together it felt like the 'walls' where closing in on you.
The other maze we went on was The Boiler House this was worse than the other one as they jump out at you when you don't expext it these are like zobie looking people with hammers it was just very freaky I can't explain it as well as what it actually was.
I was really surprised I didn't have nightmares!

The Life of Lee

The Life of Lee is out today yay!
I was just wondering after seeing a few comedians promoting their book if Lee Evans has one. I just got an email from Waterstones to tell me what is out today and guess what Lee Evans was there shining like a beacon.
I have only read a couple of autobiographies and have never really liked them but Lee Evans is my all time favourite comedian I just have to have this book even if it is a autobiography. Thank god I have some money left over from my Nanna am sure she would want me to have this!

Reading Update #2

I am still reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld I have nearly finished. I will probably be finished by tomorrow which I can't wait for as it's taken me nearly two weeks the longest I have ever taken on a book that isnt over 500 pages. I haven't started any other books as of yet as I want to just get this one done plus I will probably won't start another book until October (Saturday) just so I can get over this book :(
I hope I have better luck with my next book!

Ordered book #1

Yay I have finally ordered Silence I thought I had longer until it was out even though I knew it was out on the 4th Oct I just didn't realize the date. I just had to get this book as I have loved the first two and plus I just really love the cover I just can't wait to read it!!

Reading Update #1

Every Wednesday I am going to do a midweek reading update.
At the minute I am reading two books One called Eyes Like Stars which I am enjoying although I didn't start off enjoying it. As for my other book Uglies it's taking its time to even get the slightest bit interesting for me to continue (I will continue) I just hope it gets better soon as it feels like I have been reading it for weeks rather than days!
