Q: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don’t like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!
A: Ok so this is quite a hard question and I couldn't think of any until I looked back at books that I didn't give a high rating too, so here are the most common points:
- Annoying Character's: I just hate it when I don't like the main character's and don't care about what happens to them and in most cases I feel that the story has great potential if it wasn't for the annoying characters. I found this with the Vampire Diaries (book) I hated the characters but loved the story if the character's was more like the TV shows version then this series could have been one of my favourite's. Instead I had to stop reading the series as I just didn't relate with the character's and didn't see the point of continuing.
- Boring Books: This mainly happens in the longer books as the author puts in a lot of content that I don't think is really needed I just think they can explain things a bit too much. Another way that is boring is when there in nothing really going on and also if something does happen it's still boring. This happened in Entangled as it was so boring I felt like nothing was going on and by the end I didn't care what happened.
- Abrupt Endings: I don't mind a cliffhanger but when it ends randomly and feel like there should be another couple of page's it really winds me up. This has happened in a few books that all the way through the book I thought this is going to be a 4 or a 5 rating but then because of the abrupt ending I feel I just have to knock the rating down a star or two.
