I wanted this book because it was a New Adult book but what I didn't know was that this wasn't the first in the series. I wasn't going to read it I was going to get the first one which is a book that has been on my wishlist for ages (Pretty Amy) but I couldn't stop myself as it was a short book and am glad I did as I loved it.

I do like the cover but I think it is pretty much the same as other New Adult books. I do like the font of the title it really makes it stand out.

As soon as I started this book I fell in love with it and what I loved even more was that I didn't feel lost with what was happening. With it being a NA book it wasn't a cute, fluffy book but it felt more real with real issues which I wasn't sure I would like but I did. I loved that it was a quick read as I haven't been able to read much in the past couple of months but with it being short it was easy to get through, it also helped that it was an amazing book. After reading this book I know that I need to read the first book and maybe any other book that Lisa happens to write. The romance side of the book was a bit different to what I am used to reading about but I loved it all the same. It was very much a will they/won't they book that had me guessing all the way through.

I really like the characters as they felt more realistic than most other characters that I have read about which was a refreshing change. Amy definitely had some underlining issues that gave her an edge but you could tell she was all heart. Joe was sweet I didn't think I would like him but the more I read about him the more I loved him.

Overall a very entertaining book that will have you guessing all the way through...Will they cheat or won't they?

When I first saw that was a free book I jumped at the chance to read it but it wasn't until I started to read it that I realized it was only 9 pages long! But I thought I would still give it a go as it would be a quick read.

I love the front cover and to be honest with you it was one of the main reason why I wanted to read it.

This was actually really good and the main reason why I had to give it 2/5 was because it was too short and therefore I didn't feel like we got the whole story which was such a shame as this could have been a brilliant book. I was left with loads of unanswered questions as to what had happened even now while writing this review I am trying to understand what had actually happened. The best way I could explain this book was that it felt like it was opened up at a random chapter.

With the characters I couldn't get any feelings towards them and actually I have forgotten the names.

Overall this could have been a really good book if only it was a longer book. I have also realized that if I am going to read a short book in the future it should be a lot longer than 9 pages longer just so I can get some kind of feeling towards the story and the character.

Thanks to the publishers over at Hot Key Books for giving me the opportunity to review this book. As soon as I read the first book I knew I had to read this book but I was also a little worried that I wouldn't like it as much as I was very much Team Beau but I needn't have worried it was EPIC!

I love all the covers for this and the first book as they all look great. I don't even think I have a favourite.

Like I said in my intro I was really worried about whether I was going to like the book or not but the moment I started I fell in love with it. I love them both the same amount as the both where epic. The chemistry between Sawyer and Lana was sizzling I just wanted them to get on with it. There was times in which I was annoyed but that just showed how invested I was in the book as I just wanted everything to be okay. As well as reading about Sawyer and Lana we also got to see more of Beau and Ashton which I loved. There was a lot of times that had me shocked as I didn't see any of them coming. The end to this book was one of the best endings to a series I have ever read all I will tell you it went into the future!

In the first book Sawyer was sweet for the most part but then he got very annoying but in this book we got to see a different side to him and I loved it as it was a bit like Beau. He did show his sweeter side at times which was nice to see. There was times when I wanted someone to punch him just so they could knock some sense into him! Lana was a lot different to how she was in the first book which was a good thing as I wasn't too sure about her in the first one but I liked her in this one. There was also some side characters that was a great addition to the book. Also having Beau and Ashton in this book was great especially seeing the vulnerable side to both of them.

Overall I loved every minute of this book and the ending made it all the better.

The Crimson Hunt is a New Adult Science Fiction Romance.

I was given this book to review by the author which I am very thankful for as it was a good book plus I'm on a New Adult kick.

 I actually don't like the top half of the cover but the bottom half I love as I love the star like look of it as it is fitting to the story.


It may have took me a lot longer than usual to read this book but that had nothing to do with liking or not liking the book it had more to do with life getting in the way.

This was a hard book to get into as I just wasn't really following the story and it wasn't until halfway through when things was starting to get explained when I actually got what was going on. Once I did get the story I was hooked and couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. The romance side of the story I was expecting a lot more and it wasn't until over halfway though when it became more believable. The ending was okay I just felt it was a bit of an abrupt ending but it did leave me wanting more.

Ariel was an okay character to start with but the further I went into the book the more she improved. There was times that I wanted her to get a grip but apart from that I kind of liked her. Luca I didn't like to start with but I felt like the more he grew on Ariel the more he grew on me and then by the end I loved him. As for the other characters I never knew who to trust but some of them was great additions to the book especially Bailey I hope we get to see more from her in the next book.

Overall I thought it was a good story building book but it did take a while to get into but once I did I found myself really enjoying it.

 

BOTM #18

This month has been a bit of a slow reading month and if it wasn't for a couple of short stories it would have been a lot shorter. The reason for the slow month is that I have finally got myself a job and never found the time to read but I'm hoping that I will get better at the whole reading while having a job.

Even though this was a slow month, two books was brilliant but in the end I went for this book as it was fantastic. I loved that we got to see further into the future which I love in my final books. I can't wait to read more from Abbi!
