Synopsis:Sometimes you have to look at life in a whole new way...
From the bestselling author of PS, I Love You comes a delightfully enchanting novel about what happens when two people who are meant to be together just can't seem to get it right.
Rosie and Alex are destined for one another, and everyone seems to know it but them. Best friends since childhood, their relationship gets closer by the day, until Alex gets the news that his family is leaving Dublin and moving to Boston. At 17, Rosie and Alex have just started to see each other in a more romantic light. Devastated, the two make plans for Rosie to apply to colleges in the U.S.
She gets into Boston University, Alex gets into Harvard, and everything is falling into place, when on the eve of her departure, Rosie gets news that will change their lives forever: She's pregnant by a boy she'd gone out with while on the rebound from Alex.
Her dreams for college, Alex, and a glamorous career dashed, Rosie stays in Dublin to become a single mother, while Alex pursues a medical career and a new love in Boston. But destiny is a funny thing, and in this novel, structured as a series of clever e-mails, letters, notes, and a trail of missed opportunities, Alex and Rosie find out that fate isn't done with them yet.

I received a review copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The colourfulness of this cover is what stood out to me even though they where pretty much all similar colours it still looks colourful because of the colour that was used. I do like that it's in keeping with the actual story as well.

I found Love, Rosie very hard to get into as it's a completely different style of writing than I'm used to with the whole book in the form of letters, notes, emails, cards. When I first started I actually thought I wouldn't be able to get past the whole writing style but I did to a point as it still annoyed me to the end but it was easier to get through the further I went into the story. It was hard to get an understanding of what all the characters looked like as it seemed to take ages before there was even a description on each of them. Throughout the book I wanted to bang Rosie and Alex's heads together as they both annoyed me with their feelings as there times when I didn't even believe in their feelings towards one another as it felt out of the blue sometimes. I liked that it felt the most realistic of books that I have read as it seemed to show real issues that where believable. There was some light hearted moments as well as some sad times but I just felt like it needed something else that I can't put my finger on what it was missing. Even though I liked the characters growing up throughout their lifetime I still felt like it dragged but at the same time it also felt like it was rushed with major gaps of times throughout. I didn't like the end of the book as it felt like it could have happened far sooner. I do feel like the film outshone this book which doesn't happen often but in this case the film won out.

There was times when I couldn't stand both Rosie and Alex. In the beginning I really didn't like Rosie as she was so annoying but throughout the book I felt she really did grow up and was more likeable. With Alex I didn't really like or hate him and I still can't decide what I think about him. Ruby was one of my favourite characters in this book even though she wasn't the kindest Mum she was still a light hearted and funny character. Katie was an ok character as she was like Rosie in the way we got to see her grow up to be a good character.

Overall, I felt a little let down by this book as I was expecting so much more for my first ever Cecelia Ahern book plus I adored the film but not so much with the book.

Synopsis:
There's bound to be trouble in Paradise . . .
When her parents decide a change will be good for her, seventeen-year-old Lexie Atkinson never expected they'd send her all the way to Paradise City. Coming from a predictable life of home schooling on a rural Australian property, she's sure that Paradise will be amazing. But when she's thrust into a public school without a friendly face in sight, and forced to share a room with her insipid, hateful cousin Amanda, Lexie's not so sure.
Hanging out with the self-proclaimed beach bums of the city, sneaking out, late night parties and parking with boys are all things Lexie's never experienced, but all that's about to change. It's new, terrifying . . . and exciting. But when she meets Luke Ballantine, exciting doesn't even come close to describing her new life. Trouble with a capital T, Luke is impulsive, charming and answers to no one. The resident bad-boy leader of the group, he's sexier than any boy Lexie has ever known.
Amidst the stolen moments of knowing looks and heated touches, Lexie can't help but wonder if Luke is going to be good for her . . . or very, verybad?

I requested this from netgalley and was then asked by the publishers if I wanted to take part in a blog tour so I thought why not.

The cover I kind of like as I like the feel of it which reminds me of parts of the story which I always like in the covers. I love the brightness of the cover as I think it makes it look eye catching.

When I first started this book I just couldn't get into it as it wasn't capturing my interest so I would find myself easily distracted and kept having to go back to read sections that I had missed and because of that it felt like it was taking too long to read when in reality it only took me about five days. There was a lot of cringe worthy moments in this book especially near the beginning, which was mainly all those nightmares that we have as children attending a new school had happened to her, this would have been good if it didn't all happen to Lexie but it was too much to happen to her that I didn't find believable. Even though there was a lot of cringy moments it still felt like nothing of interest happened and I found myself disinterested. The romance side of the story was completely unbelievable as I didn't believe either of Lexie's or Luke's feelings where genuine. There was moments towards the end of the book that started to improve for me and it has made me want to read the next book just to find out what happens next.

I'm not 100% sure about most of the characters but there was a couple that I did like. Lexie started of as a likable character as she was sweet but she was very naïve to the point where I would think to myself she did not just believe that?! Luke I didn't like in the beginning as he was annoying but about halfway through I started to like him as he seemed sweet but then there was moments that I would not like him again towards the end. My favourite character had to be Boon as he was so funny I would have liked more from his character. Amanda had so many different personalities that it was hard to keep up with her.

Overall I wasn't a fan of this book but there was enough times that I liked to make me want to read the next book but I won't be in any rush to read it.

Goodreads:
As a child, Gretchen's twin sister was taken by a witch-like monster in the woods. Ever since, Gretchen and her brother, Ansel, have felt the long branches of the witch's forest threatening to make them disappear, too.

When their stepmother casts Gretchen and Ansel out as teens, they stumble upon a sleepy Southern town and are invited to stay with Sophia Kelly at her sweet shop. Sophia molds candied magic: coveted treats that create confidence, bravery, and passion.

Life seems idyllic and Gretchen and Ansel finally start to forget their haunted past - until Gretchen meets handsome local outcast Samuel, who gives Gretchen a reason to fear Sophia: girls have been vanishing at Sophia's annual chocolate festival, taken by the insatiable 'witch' of Gretchen's nightmares. Can Gretchen save herself, the girls of Live Oak, andSophia?

Of one thing, Gretchen is certain: a monster is coming, and it will never go away hungry
.

I loved the first Fairytale Retelling Sisters Red so when I knew this one was coming out I just had to snap it up and I am glad I did.

This fairytale is a retelling of Hansel and Gretel.

Gretchen was a twin but her twin was tragically taken by a 'witch' and now twelve years later are still trying to get over the past but it seems that their past is catching up with them.

With Gretchen's character I felt for her as I could never imagine the pain she went through losing her twin especially at the age that she was I don't think it could be anything that you could get over and there was parts I was nearly crying as it was very moving. Even going through what she does, she ends up being a strong character someone you just end up routing for.

Ansel's character I am not sure about as he does seem sweet and protective of those he loves but I don't think we got to know him as much as the other characters.

Sophia you just didn't know whether to trust her or not just like the way others feel about. She did seem like a sweet character one minute and then the next you just wasn't sure.

I loved Samuel's character at first he is a bit crazy but that is the way the other villager's portray him but when you get to know him as the story goes on you just fall in love with his character.

I loved the way that this book was changed from the original and it was a lot more creepy than the original as that was mainly for children to read at bedtime this book I wouldn't read to any child at bedtime I think it could scare them it did freak me out in place's and am 26!

I found it entaining from the start of this book right until the end as there was always something going on and questions to be answered.

I just can't wait for the third one to come out but we will have to wait until next year!
