Cover Reveal: Diamond Sky (Love Lines #3) by Diana Nixon - Gift Edition

I was sent the email about the cover reveal of the third book in the Love Lines series (which I have read the first one and loved and I have the others to read) and seeing as I have loved the covers I obviously had to do a cover reveal post for it.
I do like this cover especially the colours used but I have to admit I prefer the other version but out of all the gift editions this one is my favourite.

So without further ado here it is...

Diamond Sky
A new page of the Love Lines story that will reveal new secrets and mysteries buried in the walls of Dever. Eileen, Christian and Evan need to find an old spell to protect themselves and those they love from being killed. There is only one problem – no one knows where the spell is hidden….
A mysterious student comes to Dever. A boy whose eyes are always watching. Who is he? What secrets are hidden behind his smiles? Is he a friend or an enemy?...
When they thought they knew everything about the super powers they possessed, they could have never imagined that in reality they didn’t know a thing. The wind can turn into the worst hurricane they have ever seen. The water can destroy everything. The earth can swallow them alive. And the fire can burn them to ashes….
The illusions - the only thing they tried to run away from, will come back to ruin the world they live in, taking away everything they ever cherished and loved.
When you think you are so close to getting what you want, think twice about your every step. Because what you think is the right thing to do may take away your life…

BOTM #12

I have also done a wrap up post on my YouTube channel so if you want to take a peek at what I intend to read in October click on this link -> http://youtu.be/ciTXXmUg2_A
Here's the books that I read in September:
  • Someone Else's Fairytale by E.M.Tippetts **** 1/2
  • Love Lines by Diana Nixon *** 1/2
  • Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz ****
  • Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout *****
  • The Stone Girl by Alyssa B. Sheinmel *
  • The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater ** 1/2
  • Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout *****
  • Yesterday by C.K.Kelly Martin ***

And the winner has to be...

This one was a little harder than other months as I had two books which was rated 5 stars and was actually going to have them both seeing as they where both from the same series. In the end I went with the second book in the Lux series as I preferred it more than the first even if it was only slightly. I had to pick this book as I said in my review for me it was perfect. To see my review click here.

Do you agree with the book that I have chosen or would you have picked something else from this list?

Pages: 478
Main Characters: Eileen, Christian
Date Started: 21st August 2012

Blurb from Goodreads:

The traces of supernatural powers have always been crossing the world of human beings. Many people know about the existence of healers, mind readers, oneiromancers and wizards. But for centuries their lives have been kept secret and no one has ever heard about one special place, where those gifted people studied.
Neither has Eileen Clark, whose life has never been different from the one other teenagers have.
But one day everything changes. Eileen finds out that she belongs to the mysterious world of unnatural and the destiny leads her to Dever - a closed university for the people like her.

Nothing will ever be the same again...

New life, new friends, new enemies...

But the true love will never let her down. It will help to go through everything....

I was asked by the author if I would like to review her book and after reading the blurb I thought it sounded interesting so I said yes and I'm glad I did as I really liked it.

I love this cover, it looks so beautiful and it also ties in with the book which I love. I love that it's drawn as it gives it a much better effect. I do think that it needed to have a bit of something at the bottom of the cover as it's just plain and doesn't fit with the rest of the cover. I also think the title should have been done in an elegant font like the lines of the 'tattoo' on the girls back.

When I first started this book I was really enjoying it which in turn had me hooked (it only took me ages to read because of reading it on my laptop). I loved it when there was things happening but at times I felt it was a bit slow and then other times things was happening too much so much so that I found I was getting lost as to what was happening. There was quite a lot of grammar mistakes which did get a bit annoying as I would be rereading that particular sentence again in the way in which I felt it should have been said. I did find that this was different to most of the books that I have read which I love as I am used to reading books that are very similar with others. The ending was one of those cliffhangers that we all love to hate it definitely makes me want to read more.

Eileen was a nice character as she always seemed to want to please everyone else but there was moments when she would get frustrated which I found made her a more realistic character. Christian I didn't really know what to think of him until he met Eileen which then I found that he had more personality. Some of the other side characters I really liked mainly Ethan as he seemed funny and sweet, I also felt sorry for him. I'm not sure about Christian's Sister and Eileen's Best Friend Amanda as she seemed like a good friend but then there was times when I thought she was a bit annoying.

Overall a good book that I am looking forward to finding out what is going to happen next.

You may have realized that I have been reading this for a couple of weeks now but that isn't because it's  bad book as I actually really like it, it's because I am reading it on my laptop so I don't get to read it as much as my hard copies.

Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz
Only read the first chapter so it's too early to know what I think about it.

Teaser Tuesday #36

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! To find out more about the books click on the picture which will take you to Goodreads.

My teasers:

Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto

We sat together in the cabin and watched the light begin to fade through the crack under the door. On the outside, we might have looked still and tranquil, but inside we were readying ourselves to face another battle, another struggle to preserve what was ours.
This seemed to be the story of our lives. Would fate ever look on us favourably, even for just one day? - Page 29
I am enjoying this book but it was hard to find a teaser that didn't have a spoiler I think I'm safe with this one.

          Love Lines by Diana Nixon

Coming back to reality, I felt some unknown attraction, which made me look towards the door. Even without seeing who was behind it, I could feel her. - Page 45
I am enjoying this book as well.
