Blurb from Goodreads:

I was asked by the author if I would like to review her book and after reading the blurb I thought it sounded interesting so I said yes and I'm glad I did as I really liked it.

I love this cover, it looks so beautiful and it also ties in with the book which I love. I love that it's drawn as it gives it a much better effect. I do think that it needed to have a bit of something at the bottom of the cover as it's just plain and doesn't fit with the rest of the cover. I also think the title should have been done in an elegant font like the lines of the 'tattoo' on the girls back.

When I first started this book I was really enjoying it which in turn had me hooked (it only took me ages to read because of reading it on my laptop). I loved it when there was things happening but at times I felt it was a bit slow and then other times things was happening too much so much so that I found I was getting lost as to what was happening. There was quite a lot of grammar mistakes which did get a bit annoying as I would be rereading that particular sentence again in the way in which I felt it should have been said. I did find that this was different to most of the books that I have read which I love as I am used to reading books that are very similar with others. The ending was one of those cliffhangers that we all love to hate it definitely makes me want to read more.

Eileen was a nice character as she always seemed to want to please everyone else but there was moments when she would get frustrated which I found made her a more realistic character. Christian I didn't really know what to think of him until he met Eileen which then I found that he had more personality. Some of the other side characters I really liked mainly Ethan as he seemed funny and sweet, I also felt sorry for him. I'm not sure about Christian's Sister and Eileen's Best Friend Amanda as she seemed like a good friend but then there was times when I thought she was a bit annoying.

Overall a good book that I am looking forward to finding out what is going to happen next.

Book Review: Someone Else's Fairytale

Someone Else's Fairytale by Emily Mah Tippetts

Format: Paperback

Pages: 310
Main Characters: Chloe, Jason
Date Started: 31st August 2012
Date Finished: 2nd September 2012
Rating Given: **** 1/2

Blurb from Goodreads:

Jason Vanderholt, Hollywood's hottest actor, falls head over heels for everygirl, Chloe Winters, who hasn't gotten around to watching most of his movies. She becomes the woman every other woman in America is dying to be, but it just isn't her fairytale.

I was kindly given this book by the author which I am thankful for as I really enjoyed this book and to be honest I wouldn't have known about it if Emily didn't tell me about. I am very picky on which books I am told about by the authors as usually they don't sound like the kind of books that I would like but this time was different. I loved the sound of this book and I must admit I'm a sucker for fairytales especially the romance side of them so I knew I had to try it and I was hoping that I would enjoy it and I'm pleased to say I more than enjoyed this book.

Having been told about this by the author I didn't actually get to see the cover until it arrived and at first I liked it but for some reason I don't like it as much anymore. Yes the cover tells me about the story which I like but I would have preferred it to have been more spectacular as to me it doesn't say fairytale. I would have also liked the title to be more elegant as it just seems a bit too plain.

As soon as I started reading this book I knew I was going to love it as it drew me into the world that Tippett's created which I love when I can escape reality and delve into someone else's. I was kept intrigued by what was going to happen next as there was some things that happened that I just wasn't expecting. I found that this book reminded me of the film Notting Hill but instead of the woman being the actress it was the other way round. I could also see the inspiration from the fairytales that we all know and love which is probably why I adored this book so much. With this book I found that it was split into two halves the first half was about Chloe's childhood and the friendship between her and Jason. The second half was more about love and all the twists and turns that come with love.

There was times when I was confused as to what I was going to rate this book as throughout it I was thinking the full five stars then there was times I was thinking 4 which is why I have decided to do half rating from now on.

Chloe seemed a bit cagey to start with and I wasn't sure that I would like her but the more I found out about her the more she grew on me. Jason seemed nice enough kind of like the Prince Charming but this Prince Charming does have some flaws which made him more realistic. There was times that I didn't get the chemistry between these two characters as to me it seemed a bit too one sided but I'm not going to say anything else about that as I don't want to give anything away. There was a few side characters that were nice including her roommate and his family. There was also characters that I didn't like which wasn't just the bad guy but also her 'best friend' I found he wasn't likable at all but that could just be me.

Overall this is a great book for all of you that love your fairytales. I would highly recommend this book if you haven't read it. I for one could not put it down.
