Synopsis:
Angel Perez had a second chance at a new beginning. After the death of her Aunt Rosie, Angel followed the instructions of her aunt and packed up only a few of her belongings and headed to Florida. After moving into her Aunt Rosie's small cottage on Siesta Key Beach, she was quickly adjusting to her new life. After finding a job at an insurance company, Angel became friends with the two owners, Sara Roberts and Brea Kinsley. Sara and Brea made it their mission to fix Angel up on a blind date with their very handsome and single friend Mason Myles. Afraid that her past would catch up with her, Angel lived a very private life. When she met the tall, dark, and handsome Dr. Mason Myles, she knew she wouldn't be able to resist him. He swept her off her feet with his sexy, dimpled smile and charm. Living on the run from a very abusive boyfriend, Jim Davis, Angel lived in fear that Jim would somehow find her. After she revealed her abusive past and fears to Mason, Mason vowed to protect her.

I bought this from Amazon UK for free so I jumped at the chance as it sounded like my kind of book.

I'm not sure about this cover as I don't feel like it reminds me of the story which is what I always prefer in book covers and if they don't I would want them to stand out but this one doesn't do that, and I can barely see the cover.

When I first started this book I found it hard to get into as it was far too descriptive making it drag a little bit. There didn't seem to be anything happening for quite some time and when things did pick up they where a little too glossed over for my liking. Even though those bits annoyed me I did find myself getting addicted to the story and wanting to find out what was going to happen next even if it was a little predictable. I kind of liked the romance side of it as even though they seemed to like each other straight away there was still a slow build up of the relationship. I did find these two cute together and would do anything for one another. I actually liked that the manner in which the domestic violence was written although I do feel like it could have been a little more realistic in the was she got away. The ending was definitely a cliffie that has made me NEED to see what is going to happen I really do wish it hadn't ended in that way.

I liked most of the characters for the most part but there was just something that made them feel unrealistic pretty much everyone was just too nice. Angel was a sweetheart but she did seem too nice especially after what she had been through for me she should have been untrustworthy to pretty much everyone but she wasn't and she welcomed new people into her life. Mason was another sweetheart but he did seem too good to be true.

Overall I enjoyed this book in parts but the ending did leave me wanting more.
