All dual POV's in these particular series made them all the more stronger as I was able to get a better understanding of both characters involved in the story.

Top 10 of 2016 - Best Books Read in 2016

Top 10 of 2016

I've decided to join Two Chicks On Books again this year to count down my favourite books. Throughout the week there will be different list, so without further ado let's get started!

Best books that I have read in 2016, it doesn't have to have been released in 2016, just a book that I've read in 2016.

10.

Rush by Shae Ross
I really enjoyed reading this book and even though it didn't get the full 5/5 star rating it still made a lasting impression.

9.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25101535-the-aftermath
The Aftermath (The Hurricane, #2) by R.J. Prescott
An epic read and the only reason why it wasn't higher on the list was that the first one in this series was even better.

8.

Miracle on 5th Avenue (From Manhattan with Love, #3)

Dirty (Dive Bar, #1) by Kylie Scott
This one could've been even closer to the top of the pile this year but the ending was a bit too fast and even though I could forgive it for that, it was the only way I could order my books as I have loved each and everyone on this list.

5.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/27276194-for-better-or-worse?ac=1&from_search=true

What was your favourite book of 2016?

2 October 2016

Books of September

Another slow reading month which I'm now starting to think will be the norm for me as I just don't have as much time to read as I used to as on top of work I have birthdays and then the dreaded Christmas.

Here's what I did read in September:

  • Aced (Blocked, #2) by Jennifer Lane - 4/5
  • The Gambler (The Wedding Pact, #3) by Denise Grover Swank - 4.5/5
  • Bedmates (American Royalty, #1) by Nichole Chase - 5/5

And the book of the month goes too...

Bedmates (American Royalty, #1) by Nichole Chase

Synopsis:
From the bestselling author of Suddenly Royal comes the first in a sparkling new series about America’s favorite royal—the First Daughter.
Everyone makes mistakes, especially in college. But when you’re the daughter of the President of the United States, any little slip up is a huge embarrassment. Maddie McGuire’s latest error in judgment lands her in police custody, giving the press a field day. Agreeing to do community service as penance and to restore her tattered reputation, Maddie never dreams incredibly good looking but extremely annoying vice president’s son, Jake Simmon, will be along for the ride.
Recently returning from Afghanistan with a life-altering injury, Jake is wrestling with his own demons. He doesn’t have the time or patience to deal with the likes of Maddie. They’re like oil and water and every time they’re together, it’s combustible. But there’s a thin line between love and hate, and it’s not long before their fiery arguments give way to infinitely sexier encounters.
When Jake receives devastating news about the last remaining member of his unit, the darkness he’s resisted for so long begins to overwhelm him. Scared to let anyone close, he pushes Maddie away. But she isn’t about to give up on Jake that easily. Maddie’s fallen for him, and she’ll do anything to keep him from the edge as they both discover that love is a battlefield and there are some fights you just can’t lose.

Books Received in September

It was my Birthday this month and I received an amazon voucher which I just had to spend on some kindle books that I have had my eye on for awhile. What's even better is I still have a bit left over I just need to narrow down my books that I want.

A few freebies from Amazon that sound good.

Some of the review books that I received which all look good.
