Synopsis:Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. She was smart and on track, but her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, barely, and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.
Then she meets Caleb.
She saves his life and instantly knows there's something about him that's intriguing, but she's supposed to be on her way to a date with his cousin. Things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally.
They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she's ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive. Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb's enemies know he's imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him.
Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

This was one of my first ever book that I got for my first ever kindle which was years ago now and I can't believe I waited this long as it was amazing and I could have read most of the series by now! This is also still on amazon UK and US for free in kindle format which all I can say is BARGIN!!

The cover isn't a favourite of mine but I do feel as though it is in keeping with the story as they have to be together and you can tell that it's going to be a romantic book just by looking at the cover.

Why oh why did I wait so long to read this book? It was so addicting and it had me transported to the world in which Shelly Crane depicted. When I was reading it I found myself talking to myself about how on earth I am able to enjoy a book that in theory I shouldn't like especially with the whole love at first touch and then they can't leave one another without the other one telling them that it's ok yet I couldn't help but not care and I think that has everything to do with the brilliance of Shelly Crane's writing. It was written in a way that made me believe all of these unbelievable things that was happening. There was a lot of things that had happened in this book and most of it happened right in the beginning which I'm not used to especially with no secrets between Caleb and Maggie which I loved as usually it isn't until the end everything comes out about their abilities but not in this case. I loved the relationship between Maggie and Caleb as even though they where complete strangers the love they felt for one another rolled off the pages. They where so cute together and even though you can tell they love one another in the beginning it still felt like it grew into something even more. There was a lot of action that happened as well which kept me on the edge of my seat especially towards the end when everything came to head. As well as sweet and tender moments there was some very funny moments in there as well which was a nice addition to the story. The ending was great because even though this isn't the end of their journey I still felt like there was a bit of closure I just can't wait to see what else is thrown at Caleb and Maggie.

I loved pretty much all of the characters maybe not the bad guys and Maggie's Mum but what's a story without evil? Maggie was a great female character because even though she came across as this confidant person she still had her hang ups that made her all the more relatable. I loved how well she took everything but what I loved the most was that she was able to care of herself and not need anyone to rescue her. Caleb is one of the sweetest guys I've had the pleasure to read about as usually the guys I like are the ones that where a bit of a bad boy to start with but that wasn't Caleb yet I adored him. I have mixed feelings about Kyle as he did seem nice but there was moments when I wanted to throttle him but I guess I understood where he was coming from. I would loved to have seem more from Maggie's brother Bish as he was great but I do have a feeling we will see more of him sooner rather than later.

Overall, this was an amazing start to what I hope will be an amazing series. This may be my first book that I have read of Shelly's but I know for certain it won't be my last!
