Q: Question: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran's Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.
A: Well I would have to say my grandad even though he is no longer with us he was in the Navy back in World War 2 so he did in part help us have the world we live in today. My grandad always celebrated Poppy Day even when he was to ill to remember he would still remember the days he was in the Navy and always tell us stories. He is no longer with us as he died this year but at the grand old age of 90 so I hope that can give hope to the soldiers out there today. I will always remember my grandad but I will especially remember him on this day. (I will try and find a picture of him in his Navy outfit and post it later he was so proud of that photo)
I thought I would also put in a fictional character to be a bit lighter as Poppy Day is supposed to be a celebration. I seem to read more books with warriors but I did read a book recently called Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel and the soldier in this was called Captain Bram Griswald, I loved his character he was a zombie but he wanted to help both humans and zombies.
