Goodreads:
The situation at the London Institute has never been more precarious. With Mortmain and his clockwork army still threatening, the Council wants to strip Charlotte of her power and hand the running of the Enclave over to the unscrupulous and power-hungry Benedict Lightwood.

In the hope of saving Charlotte and the Institute, Will, Jem, and Tessa set out to unravel the secrets of Mortmain’s past—and discover unsettling Shadowhunter connections that hold the key not only to the enemy’s motivations, but also to the secret of Tessa’s identity. Tessa, already caught between the affections of Will and Jem, finds herself with another choice to make when she learns how the Shadowhunters helped make her a “monster.” Will she turn from them to her brother, Nate, who has been begging her to join him at Mortmain’s side? Where will her loyalties—and love—lie? Tessa alone can choose to save the Shadowhunters of London…or end them forever.

I couldn't wait for this book to be released but then I ended up having to wait until Christmas to actually get my hands on it.

Once I started this book I just knew that there was going to be heartache especially for Will...

I couldn't really remember what had happened in the last book but the way in which is was written it wasn't needed as Clare kind of reminds you but in a way that it doesn't sound like she is repeating herself.

It did take me a while to read this book to what I am used to but that had nothing to do with what I thought about the book but rather it was a long book with long chapters. I prefer chapters to be small as then I feel I can read the book quicker. That didn't really matter to me as I am used to Clare and her long chapters plus the longer it takes to read it the more I can stay in this particular world which I am a huge fan of.

The beginning was a tiny bit slow but not slow enough to mark the rating down it's just that I am starting to like books with a lot of action in it but there isn't that much action in it but I think that might change in the next book. There was a bit of action which I loved it just showed us how much Will cares.

We got to learn a lot more of Will's background which I was really pleased with as we got to understand the in which he is. It also made my heart break for him throughout this book especially towards the end. I loved Will in the first one but now I love him even more now that we got to see more of his sensitive side.

Tessa was also a little better in this book as she was more stronger with her learning to fight. I did feel for her as well towards the end it was a very heartbreaking scene.

We also got to see a bit more of Jem but for me he is too sweet I like the guy characters to be a bit of a bad boy as well as being sweet but maybe if circumstances was different he may have been different. I do like him but am on team Will.

I can't wait to read Clockwork Princess to find out who she will actually end up with as I think it should be Will as reading this book I think that's where her heart truly lies!

  1. Books always move me in passionate ways;however, this one started to get me to thinking about other things, not just love and compassion, but how people absorb the world. Some may see it only as a cruel place with unforgivable people. Others may look at it as a place with benevolence and concern. I have never given much thought to why those people you hear on television are able to kill and do harm to others without thought.
